Protests over nuclear plant in India

India is growing rapidly and to keep development on track it needs electricity.

The government wants to build energy production hubs in the south of the country in the coming years, but in recent months plans for a nuclear power plant in the state of Tamil Nadu have prompted protests and hunger strikes.
