Vietnam: 'China's oil rig is moving away'

An oil rig that sparked a major diplomatic row between China and Vietnam is being removed from waters disputed by the two countries.

Chinese authorities have said its rig had finished drilling work and was now moving away, which was confirmed by Vietnam's Coast Guard.

In an interview with BBC Vietnamese Service's Nga Pham, Lieutenant Commander Ngo Minh Tung has explained how they monitored the movement of the oil rig and said China has "put an end to their infringement of our sovereignty".
