Watching the war from afar
Jay Agg served as a US Marine from 2002 until 2006. He signed up after the 9/11 attacks out of a desire to serve and protect his country.
But he was never sent on a combat tour of Iraq or Afghanistan, which is a source of disappointment for him.
He explained to the BBC why soldiers are driven to serve in the world's danger zones, knowing that they risk life and limb.
