Majority of BP spill 'dealt with'
Almost three-quarters of the nearly five million barrels of spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico have been cleaned up or broken down by natural forces, the US government has said. The full extent of the damage caused is still not known and officials have warned that more clean-up is necessary.
Last night US government officials gave the green-light for BP to force cement through a cap installed last month.
But for BP the legal battle is just beginning.
