NY mayor attends 9/11 service
Ceremonies are underway in the US to mark the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York.
The mayor of New York and Vice President Joe Biden attended one at Zuccotti Park adjacent to the World Trade Centre site.
Names of the victims were read out and moments of silence held at the times the planes struck the towers and the times each one fell.
At sunset "Tribute in Light" - two twin columns of light representing the towers, will be illuminated.
