US woman's 'final statement' before execution

A 41-year-old woman executed in Virginia on Thursday for conspiring to murder her husband and stepson made a final statement before the execution by lethal injection was carried out, prison official Larry Traylor says.

Speaking to reporters, Mr Traylor confirmed that Miss Lewis "made a last statement" where she apologised to stepdaughter Kathy Clifton.
