Marco Rubio claims Florida Senate seat for Republicans

Tea Party favourite Marco Rubio has comfortably beaten his opponents in the Florida Senate race.

He told a victory rally in Miami "our nation is headed in the wrong direction and both parties are to blame", saying Washington needed people who could "offer a clear and genuine alternative".
