Emotional John Boehner on chasing 'the American dream'

As the US mid-term elections brought win after win for the Republicans, Ohio's John Boehner became emotional as he spoke of his lifelong pursuit of ''the American dream''.

The Republicans have gained control of the House of Representatives, and Mr Boehner is set to take over the role of House Speaker from Nancy Pelosi.
