New York hosts annual Macy's Thanksgiving parade

The annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade has taken place in New York, watched by tens of thousands of people on the streets and millions more on television.

A massive balloon of Snoopy lead the parade through Manhattan, followed by other favourites including Kermit the Frog and the Statue of Liberty - and Father Christmas had his traditional place in the show.
