Doctors say Giffords 'doing great' after transfer
Doctors treating the injured US congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, say they are happy with her progress.
Ms Giffords, who was shot in the head by a gunman in Tucson two weeks ago, has been transferred to a rehabilitation centre in Houston.
Doctors at the Memorial Hermann hospital said the transfer had gone 'flawlessly'.
Earlier, well-wishers had lined the streets of Tucson to watch the ambulance take Ms Giffords to the airport for her flight to Houston.
Dr. Randall Friese, from the University Medical Centre in Tucson, said his patient was very emotional when she heard the applause outside.
