Long Island beach serial killer search continues

Police in New York are continuing to comb a section of coastline near New York as they search for more possible victims of a serial killer who appears to have been targeting prostitutes.

Eight bodies have been found in scrubland in Suffolk County to the south of Long Island.

Four have so far been identified as prostitutes who advertised on the American small ads website craigslist.

Police are also expecting to find the body of 24-year-old Shannan Gilbert, another call-girl who went missing in the area last year.

Laura Trevelyan reports.
