US battered by 240 storms as tornadoes hit
More than 240 storms in three days have swept across central and southern parts of the United States, leaving 45 people dead.
Heavy winds demolished houses, uprooted trees and overturned cars across seven states.
North Carolina, which was hit by more than 60 tornadoes, suffered some of the worst casualties and rescuers are still searching for survivors.
