Burger record set as man eats 25,000th Big Mac

A retired prison guard from Wisconsin in the US has eaten his 25,000th hamburger, 39 years to the day since he ate his first nine.

Don Gorske, 57, who is slim and apparently with low cholesterol, eats two Big Macs a day and said he would continue "until I die".

He buys them in bulk twice a week, keeping the boxes and recording his consumption on a calendar.
