Barack Obama announces US debt deal

President Barack Obama has announced that Republican and Democrat congressional leaders have reached an agreement over the debt crisis.

The president told reporters the deal allows borrowing by the US Treasury in exchange for more than 2 trillion dollars in long-term spending cuts.
