Obama: 9/11 legacy more than monuments

The resilience and unity of the American people will be the legacy of the 9/11 attacks, President Obama has said.

Speaking at the Concert for Hope in Washington at the end of a day of commemorations to mark the attack, Mr Obama spoke of the bravery of those who died, and the people repairing their lives and the country.

Nearly 3,000 people died when four hijacked airliners were crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.
