California man rescued after six days in a ravine
A 67-year-old man has been rescued from a steep ravine in the US state of California after his children refused to give up the search for him.
David Lavau's car crashed off the road six days before he was found in the Angeles National Forest.
He suffered several broken bones but escaped serious injury and is in a stable condition in hospital.
His family say he drank stream water and ate insects and leaves.
The driver of a second car died at the scene.
The doctor who treated him in hospital, Dr Garrett Sutter, said "it is unusual for someone to survive in these circumstances".
Mr Lavau's daughter, Lisa, explained how they found him.
