'About turn' in Michael Jackson death trial

The legal team representing Michael Jackson's personal doctor has dropped its claim that the pop star swallowed a fatal dose of the anaesthetic Propofol while the medic was not looking.

Dr Conrad Murray is on trial charged with involuntary manslaughter following Jackson's death in June 2009. He has pleaded not guilty.

The BBC's Peter Bowes in Los Angeles said that the move was a huge about turn by Dr Murray's defence.
