Tiger Woods says caddie not racist

Golfer Tiger Woods has said that Steve Williams is not racist and that his former caddie has apologised to him for a slur.

Williams made a disparaging comment during a caddies' awards party in Shanghai on Friday.

The PGA Tour and European Tour have said no action would be taken against Williams for the comment.

Williams was caddie for Woods throughout the American golfer's outstanding run of success in the 2000s, but was fired last year.
