Donald Trump endorses Mitt Romney in Las Vegas

The American business magnate Donald Trump has endorsed Mitt Romney for the Republican Party's presidential nomination, describing him as " tough, smart and sharp", ahead of the next stage of the campaign in Nevada.

Mr Trump announced his support at a Las Vegas hotel he owns, contradicting earlier reports that he may back Romney rival Newt Gingrich.
