US treasure hunters seek billions in platinum from shipwreck

The crew of the US explorer ship Sea Hunter has pinpointed the whereabouts of a shipwreck from World War II, which they believe contains $3bn (£1.9bn) in platinum.

Greg Brooks, the head of Sub Sea Research, says his team is determined to use a remote controlled underwater vehicle to recover the lost cargo, which was on board a British freighter which sank near Cape Cod after being hit by a torpedo fired by a German U-boat.

Matt Danzico met the crew.
