Angela Corey: George Zimmerman trial needs 'fair jury'

Florida Special Prosecutor Angela Corey has charged George Zimmerman, the neighbourhood watchman who shot unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, with second degree murder.

Speaking at a news conference in Jacksonville, Florida, she said Mr Zimmerman was already in custody and will appear in court within the next 24 hours.

Ms Corey said that since the case has attracted so much media attention it was essential to find a fair and impartial jury for Mr Zimmerman's trial.
