Boy Scouts of America keep ban of homosexual leaders

The Boy Scouts of America says it will not change its policy of excluding gay scouts and scout leaders, following a secret two-year review.

The current policy allows families to address sexuality in private and the organisation cites support from parents as a major reason for keeping the policy.

5 liveUp All Night's Rhod Sharp spoke to former scout den leader Jennifer Tyrell who was fired in April because she is gay. He also asked Peter Labarbera, president of the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, if the decision would deter homosexual boys from joining the scouts.
