Family values: Three generations discuss US debt
In northern Florida, agricultural and independent-minded families tend to vote Republican, and pass that on down through the generations.
Like many other conservative voters, the Koon and Cassube families want to cut the budget deficit and end entitlement programmes, and do so without raising taxes on the middle class.
But to cut the deficit, health programmes like Medicare are on the cutting table under a Romney-Ryan ticket, leaving the working generation worried over their retirement down the road.
The BBC's Franz Strasser spoke to three generations of one family to find out what concerns Republican voters have going into the election.
