Can Mitt Romney close gender gap?

In 2008, Barack Obama's victory over John McCain was aided by strong support from female voters across the country. In 2012, a focus on social issues and controversial statements by Republican candidates has lead to a continuation of that gender gap.

But come election day, will women voters once again flock to President Obama? Or do they think presumptive candidate Mitt Romney has their best interests at heart?

The BBC's Franz Strasser talked to female voters in Tampa, Florida, site of the Republican National Convention, about what they're thinking ahead of the election.

All of the women had different concerns and criteria for the next president, but most are clear on two points: they want a stronger economy and they want respect.
