US shootings: Police 'keeping public informed'
The first funerals are to be held for victims of Friday's shootings at a school in the US state of Connecticut.
Twenty children and six women died in the assault by a lone gunman - named as Adam Lanza - who then took his own life. He had earlier killed his mother.
Speaking at a news conference in the town, police Lt Paul Vance said the people of Newtown want to know what happened and that the police "will keep the public informed and make sure if there is anything emerging we will get it out immediately".
