Joe Biden vows 'urgent action' on US gun control
US Vice President Joe Biden has said that both himself and President Barack Obama are determined to take "immediate action" on the issue of gun control in the US.
His said that the Newtown school shooting had "awakened the conscience of the county" and that executive action was being considered to address the firearms issue.
The debate around gun control in the US has been reignited since a lone gunman killed 20 pupils and six staff at the Sandy Hook School in Connecticut in December.
