Boston bombings: Fire fighter saves marathon victim's sister

An off-duty fire fighter has described how he saved the life of a seven-year-old girl who was critically injured in the Boston bombings.

Matt Patterson was sitting in a nearby restaurant when the explosions happened and immediately went to the aid of Jane Richards, whose brother Martin was killed in the blast.

Footage taken by one of the marathon runners shows Mr Patterson in a red-shirt, helping the schoolgirl, who lost a leg in the attack.
