Burning Texas railway bridge collapses

A railway bridge across the Colorado River between San Saba and Lometa in the US state of Texas has burned down and collapsed.

According to local media, firefighters spent 15 hours attempting to extinguish the blaze, before deciding to let it burn out.

The railway is understood to transport freight and it is estimated it could cost up to $10m (£6.6m) to rebuild.
