Anthony Weiner says he refuses to quit in campaign video

New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner has vowed to stay in the race despite admitting he sent sexual messages to a woman months after resigning from Congress over a similar affair.

In a campaign advert, Mr Weiner says New York is a "tough city" and, taking inspiration from the city's residents, he will not quit.

But he has fallen in opinion polls in the wake of the recent allegations. New Yorkers vote in the Democratic Party primary election in September, and in the general election in November.
