Syria crisis: US ship Cape Ray to destroy chemical weapons stock
A US ship holding equipment which can neutralise Syria's chemical weapons is being prepared for its mission in Portsmouth, Virginia.
The US Navy vessel Cape Ray is carrying a mobile Hydrolysis system designed to remove and destroy chemical warfare agents in bulk.
An international operation will transport the stockpile of weapons across Syria and then by ship to Italy. Once in Italy, the weapons will be loaded onto the Cape Ray, which will then destroy them at sea.
Joan Soley reports from Virginia.
