Philip Seymour Hoffman death: Broadway dims lights for theatre star
New York's theatre district has dimmed its lights in tribute to the actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, three days after his death from an apparent drug overdose.
Before the traditional sign of respect, his former theatre company held a candlelit vigil for him.
Hoffman joined the Labyrinth Theater Company in 1995 and directed and performed in a number of their productions.
Earlier on Wednesday, New York's city medical examiner ruled tests on the body as "inconclusive".
