Kentucky divided ahead of mid-term elections
President Obama's room for manoeuvre in his final two years at the White House could be severely limited by the results of this week's mid-term elections.
Republicans are hoping to gain the few seats they need to take control of the Senate.
They already control the House of Representatives and they believe they can get the six seats they need to deliver total control of Congress.
