Missouri governor: 'Criminals terrorised this community'

The governor of Missouri has condemned violence that erupted in Ferguson on Monday night, after a grand jury decided not to indict a police officer following the fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager.

Jay Nixon said "criminals intent on lawlessness and destruction terrorised this community" and vowed more resources to try to prevent a repeat.

Michael Brown was killed on 9 August sparking protests that have continue since.
