CIA report: 'Brutal' interrogations post-9/11
A committee of the US Senate has delivered a damning indictment of the interrogation methods used by the CIA in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, branding them both brutal and ineffective.
A report says one detainee froze to death after being chained to a concrete floor.
Others were deprived of sleep for up to 180 hours.
In a statement, the CIA insisted the interrogations had helped save lives.
