Blizzard conditions are expected in Massachusetts

Areas of the north-east US have shut down ahead of a snowstorm.

An emergency has been declared in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Hurricane-force winds of up to 80 mph (130km/h) are expected to batter Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
