Why are Aboriginal Canadian girls at greater risk of being murdered?

Each year, dozens of Canadian Aboriginal women are murdered or disappear.

Police figures show that, over the past few decades, an alarmingly high number of native Canadian women and girls have been murdered or gone missing. They are four times more likely to be murdered than other Canadian women.

Joanna Jolly travelled to the city of Winnipeg, where just last week another Aboriginal girl was attacked, to look at why native Canadian women are so at risk.
