Iraqis 'lack leadership' in IS fight

Pro-government forces in Iraq are fighting back against Islamic State, launching an operation to push the militant group from the Western province of Anbar, after the militant group took the provincial capital of Ramadi.

This comes after US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter angered Iraqi officials this week by questioning the will of their forces.

Adm James Stavridis, who formerly served as Supreme Allied Commander at Nato and is now the Dean of the Fletcher School at Tufts University, told the BBC's Katty Kay that it is not a matter of will, but of leadership.

And he says that the US should consider sending in more troops to support Iraqi efforts.
