Charleston shootings: Hillary Clinton urges tighter gun laws
Former First Lady and Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has called for tighter gun laws in the wake of the Wednesday's church shootings in Charleston, South Carolina.
In a speech in San Francisco on Saturday, Mrs Clinton said that legislation requiring universal background checks on those wishing to purchase guns had "overwhelming public support".
She also addressed the issue of race, warning that "America's long struggle with race is far from finished."
