Michigan building brought down in controlled implosion
Authorities in Michigan have brought down a former power plant in a controlled blast.
The building in Marysville, about an hour outside of Detroit, was known locally as the "Mighty Marysville".
It was operational for nearly 70 years before being decommissioned in 2011.
Officials had called for a mandatory evacuation in the area of the implosion, and urged those living nearby to stay indoors.
