California shooting: 'Another day of gunfire, panic and fear'
"Just another day in the United States of America. Another day of gunfire, panic and fear."
So said the BBC's James Cook, reporting from San Bernardino, California, in the immediate aftermath of the mass shooting.
On Wednesday, the city, about 60 miles (96km) east of Los Angeles, was the scene of an attack which left at least 14 people dead and more than a dozen injured.
It was the 355th mass shooting in the US this year.
