Obama's 'Jedi mind trick' speech slammed by congressman

A Republican congressman has dismissed President Obama's final State of the Union speech as a "giant Jedi mind trick" on the American people.

Rep Luke Messer, who was talking to the BBC's Katty Kay immediately after Mr Obama's address to the nation, also conceded that his party had to accept a share of the blame for the divided and dysfunctional politics in Washington.
