Trudeau on Tragically Hip: 'Soundtrack of our lives'

Canadian band the Tragically Hip, whose lead singer Gord Downie has been was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, have performed an emotional farewell concert on their summer tour.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the show in Kingston, Ontario, while the live broadcast was watched at viewing parties across the country.

Speaking to Steph Crosier of the Kingston-Whig Standard, external, Mr Trudeau said it was a moment to remember "the soundtrack of our lives".
