John Lewis hails new Museum of African American History and Culture

US politician and civil rights leader John Lewis has hailed the opening of a new museum dedicated to African American History and Culture.

The representative for Georgia's 5th congressional district spoke at the opening of the latest Smithsonian Institution's museum in Washington, attended by both President Barack Obama and former President George W Bush.

Mr Lewis invoked the history of the civil rights movement, describing the place as "more than a building - it is a dream come true".
