Election 2016: Trump and Clinton cast their votes early

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have voted early in an attempt to encourage their supporters to do the same.

Mrs Clinton cast her vote in New York state, describing it as a "humbling experience".

Mr Trump cast his vote in New York city with a call for "proper leadership".
