Trump says he has wiretapping 'in common' with Merkel

President Donald Trump has stood by claims he was wiretapped under Barack Obama, telling Angela Merkel: "At least we have something in common perhaps."

He was speaking alongside the visiting German Chancellor at a White House news conference.

Both Republican and Democratic congressional leaders have said they do not believe Mr Trump was wiretapped.
