Trump says Egypt's Sisi 'very close to me'

US President Donald Trump has hosted Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the White House.

The two leaders met in the Oval Office ahead of talks, which are expected to focus on security co-operation.

Mr Trump praised the former general, whom he met during his presidential campaign in New York.

Mr Sisi applauded Mr Trump's character and his strategy for confronting terror.
