Texas Congressman on migration crisis: ‘Talk is cheap’
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on 27 December, as thousands of migrants move through Mexico toward the southern US border.
US Representative from Texas Tony Gonzales joined BBC News to explain what he hopes the meeting will accomplish.
“Oftentimes in these diplomatic situations, you talk about all the pleasantries. You don't want to get to the root of some of the issues,” said Gonzalez, who is also a member of the US Homeland Security Committee.
