Multi billion dollar diamond market opens in Mumbai

A world-class diamond market has just opened in Mumbai after years in the pipeline. The multi-billion dollar development will house thousands of businesses and everything from customs to trading will be done under one roof. Most of Mumbai's traders have done business from the city's cramped Opera House district.

Those moving into the new facility say that if India is to become an international diamond hub that can successfully compete with major diamond destinations like Belgium and Israel, it needs world-class infrastructure.
