Galaxy eyes bigger market share with new Macau casino

Galaxy Entertainment Group will open its latest casino in Macau in May this year, as it eyes a bigger share of the gambling market.
The $1.9bn (£1.2bn) casino, Galaxy Macau, is the group's largest project, and is the only casino expected to open in Macau this year.
Macau has become the world's largest gambling market, with revenues rising by 57% to $23.5bn last year.
Only six companies have licenses to operate casinos in Macau.
Massive scale
The Galaxy Macau will be the group's third casino in the Chinese territory.
With a total area of 550,000 square metres, it will provide 2,000 rooms, 250 suites and 10 floating villas, according to the company.
The casino will start operations with 450 tables, with the company saying it could increase that number to 600 if demand continues to grow.
