Australia's proposed mining tax divides opinions

In Australia, the country's controversial mining tax is expected to pass the Senate this week.

The Labor government has said the proposed tax will help pass the benefits of Australia's mining boom to all sections of the society.

But there are lawmakers who argue the tax will drive jobs and investments away from Australia.
